Professor Tony Monk is a Founder and former joint senior Partner of the major architectural practice Hutchison Locke and Monk (now HLM Architects Ltd). It was established in 1963 as a result of winning, with David Hutchison and Graham Locke, the two-stage national architectural competition Paisley Civic Centre. This development was then built in five stages over a decade consisting then of the Renfrew and Bute Police Headquarters and Magistrates Court, the Renfrewshire County Offices and Committee Rooms and Paisley Municipal Buildings. HLM Architects Ltd now has a national reputation for their health care work.
